Description
Violence against women is one of the severe problems worldwide. “Eliminating all forms of \violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres” is one of the main objectives \of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (UN, 2015, 18). In Japan today, domestic violence (DV) is \a social problem that is associated with the high level poverty of single-parent families. Shortage of \housing and livelihood assistances for DV survivors is especially problematic. There are many DV \survivors without adequate assistance from either private or government agencies. Further, it has \been difficult to grasp their actual living conditions due to the lack of research. This study shows, in \detail, current living conditions of a DV survivor who has escaped from her spouse without receiving \any support from either private or government agencies. I collected the data via observation and \communication while living in a shared house with the DV survivor for a little over 2 months.
