This paper aims to investigate how aboriginal primary students learn their mother tongue and English in Taiwan. By classroom observation, teachers'interview, and analysis of reference and data, three findings are concluded as follows. First, English does effect aboriginal students'pronunciation of their mother tongues. Second, schools and parents emphasize more on English than indigenous languages in primary stage. Third, despite long years of primary indigenous language education, the indigenous languages in Taiwan are still facing the danger of disappearance.
