The purpose of this paper is to discuss sociological analysis on in-service teacher training by reviewing previous literature. This paper proposes four ways of analyzing in-service teacher training: (i) from the view of the occupational socialization, (ii) from the view of the inequality, (iii) by focusing on teachers’ responses to the trainings, (iv) by comparing with trainings of other jobs.
