This study describes the results of analyzing 17 questions of handwriting on National Assessment of Academic Ability, 2007-2017.The result shows that those questions have the situations and the context of the handwriting lessons, school life and social life based on context dependency and situated learning.In order to be a useful learning for the daily life, Japanese language courses should teach how to judge the handwriting suitability according to the situation, and train learner's eye for beauty of handwriting.
