In this paper, a plot of lesson for eliciting students’ active learning was constructed and examined the process and outcomes of the unit and lessons implemented in any junior high Japanese classes. Any conditions for creating active learning in the context of learning reading any Japanese expository texts as follows; finding out many texts for evoking each student’s interests; showing appropriate tasks linking each student’s everyday life; struggle with reading and writing and thinking, etc.
