This research is a studies death education as lifelong learning. Life is important as contemporary issues in lifelong learning. Death education is not only death, is one that also learn about life. Therefore, death education is a part of lifelong learning. I pick up the practice of A. Deeken who spread death education in Japan. In particular, it was examined from the learning requirements and learning purposes in lifelong learning. As a result, the practice is effective as a learning intended for adults, it was found to be excellent for lifelong learning. In addition, this practice in terms of promoting the self-realization is consistent with the objective of lifelong learning. This practice is a sample practice in lifelong learning, is expected to practice in the future in some institutions.
