The Development of Social Business Selling Agricultural Food through E-commerce: A case study of the company "Etonaen" in Kumamoto Prefecture

Recently, utilizing business methods as a means to solving social problems has attracted much attention. This is a new system of social business that sells agricultural products via the internet (E-commerce). However, in the current situation, whilst it is important to address social problems through social business, it is also vital to maintain the sustainable economic development of a business. We investigated one case of agricultural social business in e-commerce in Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan. In this study, research interviews have been conducted in order to clarify the process of establishing collaboration and a management mechanism, in addition to a discussion on the sociability and feasibility of this case.
