School lunch is referred to as a "living education tool" in terms of developing a desired dietary habit by eating well-balanced meals with classmates. Teachers are required to understand that school lunch is the best opportunity to provide the nutrition education. Subjects required for obtaining a teaching qualification make no mention of what contents of instruction should be provided at school lunchtime. To consider the knowledge required to lunchtime instruction, consciousness of teacher training course student and homeroom teacher for lunchtime instruction were investigated. Student and homeroom teachers had the same view that" hygiene and safety" is important. Homeroom teacher had the opinion "clear off" is important, however student had the opinion that "nutrition" and "manners" are important. From both view the having had a difference, the necessity of treating instruction about a school lunch in the stage of teacher training was clarified.
