[SUMMARY] This paper consider sustainable community development in the frontier of regional revitalization. We focus on Michi-no-eki “Hotashogakko” project as interaction facilities between urban and rural area. Michi-no-eki means roadside stations, which is government-designated rest area found along roads and highways. In the case of Michi-no-eki“Hotashogakko”in kyonan-town community development project, we discover the following three characteristics. Firstly, the town office work with local residents to make a new community for creation of new jobs and employment in spite of loss of vitality of the private sector because of the reconstruction of public facilities. This project is secondly the production of the collaboration of outside human resources, especially expert group and university students in construction field. Thirdly，this project has included a national project in Japan on the network concept of roadside stations by Ministry of Land，Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. In the final section, we provide a summary and suggestions for future research.
